Example conversations

The public common room shows fictional example members and conversations, clearly labelled as examples. Our separate contact form stores the message and optional reply email you submit. The web server receives ordinary request information, such as your IP address, to operate the site and investigate errors.

Membership

Signing in with Google gives us your name and email address only; we never see your contacts or inbox. We use your email to sign you in, and your profile to review your application. Approved members can see other approved members’ profiles and community posts. The private Members list shows your name, job title and company to approved members. Your email is never shown to other members. We email you when someone answers your question, and send a weekly digest of new discussions that you can switch off under Your profile. If you choose to show your LinkedIn link under Your profile, other approved members can use it to contact you there.

Polls, opportunities and roundtables

Poll responses are linked to your member ID to prevent duplicate votes. Your choice is not shown to other members or in the admin interface; database operators can access it. Once at least five members respond, voters can see aggregate results while the poll is open. After it closes, all approved members can see those results. These small polls are not representative industry research. Roundtable requests and attendance decisions are visible to you and admins. Confirmed attendees can see the meeting link, and people in the meeting will see your identity. External meeting providers process meeting participation under their own terms. Adding a session to a calendar shares its details and joining link with your chosen calendar provider. Downloaded calendar copies do not update automatically. Hosts can use recording or AI summaries with the group’s agreement. Host-reviewed summaries pasted into Calibre are stored here; published summaries are visible to confirmed approved attendees and admins, while drafts are admin-only. Hosts can withdraw or remove them. Calibre does not record meetings itself or sell private conversations.

Who processes it

Calibre’s website runs on its hosted server. Supabase provides authentication and the member and contact databases. Necessary sign-in cookies maintain your session. When error monitoring is enabled, Sentry receives a generic error category, release version and code-location numbers. Error messages, member content, account details, URLs, cookies and request bodies are removed before sending. The provider still receives ordinary network request information. This version has no advertising trackers, session recording, payment collection or AI processing of your posts.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and remove your own conversations and replies. Please don’t submit sensitive personal information or confidential employer/client material. Member-only access does not prevent another member from taking a screenshot.

Questions and removal requests

Use our private contact form to reach the Calibre administrator about access, correction or deletion. No name or account is required. A reply email is optional, but without one we cannot respond. Contact submissions are visible only to administrators. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on an account-specific request.
